I am extremely new to Linux. For example, I managed to wipe out my Windows Vista while trying to install Mint as a dual boot. Oh, well, I wanted to get away from Windows anyway...
My current problem is in the course. In several places it advises against doing anything in Root unless you have a reason to be there. Therefore user accounts separate from Root need to be set up. Makes sense, but there are no instructions on how to do that.
Have any of you figured this out? I really don't want to blow up another operating system :(
