Hello everybody,
I found these interesting and usefull links:
Virtual Hindi - stories, video's in Hindi for Hindi students at beginners and intermediate level.
http://www.nyu.edu/gsas/dept/mideast/hindi/index.html
A handy free online English-Hindi dictionary:
http://www.shabdkosh.com/
Hope you also find them usefull!
Madeleine
Hi Madeleine:
I am a new "student". Thanks for the links. I have just started learning Hindi, even when I have been interested in India, the culture, the music, etc. for a long time. I have no friends from India and nobody to study with.
Thanks again:
Ines
Hey Ines,
Welcome! I just discovered that one of the links is already on the multilingual books link here in the external links page. It's a great overview page :D
I suppose it's difficult to study Hindi without somebody to talk and practice with... apparently there are online language communities (eg. http://www.polyglot-learn-language.com/ , http://www.speak-any-language.com/) where you practice on the forum or create pen-pal friendships. Each person teaches the other his own language. Maybe that is a possibility for you?
Lots of courage, take care!
Madeleine
